Transparent fees,
no surprises
Clear pricing across private, Medicare, private health, and NDIS funding options. We believe knowing the cost upfront is part of feeling supported — not stressed.
How do you want to pay?
Haven OT accepts private clients and NDIS participants who are self-managed or plan-managed. Not sure which applies to you? Our free consultation can help you work it out.
If a registered plan manager handles your NDIS funds, they pay providers on your behalf. You can still choose Haven OT — your plan manager takes care of the invoice.
If you self-manage your NDIS plan, you control your own budget and can choose any provider — including Haven OT. You pay us directly and claim reimbursement from the NDIA.
Pay directly for sessions without using any funding scheme. Payment is made upfront at the time of each session.
If you hold a Mental Health Care Plan (Better Access) or a Chronic Disease Management plan from your GP, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate on OT sessions.
Many private health funds with extras cover occupational therapy. Rebate amounts vary depending on your fund, policy level, and remaining annual limit.
Check your NDIS plan or myNDIS portal — it will show whether your plan is self-managed, plan-managed, or agency-managed. If you're agency-managed, we unfortunately aren't able to accept your funding. Call us on 0420 443 747 and we'll help you understand your options.
Prices by funding type

What's included in every session
You're not just paying for the hour. Every session comes with the preparation, follow-up, and communication that makes therapy actually work.
More than just
an invoice
Every fee goes toward personalised, meaningful care. We keep billing simple, communication open, and our focus on you — not the paperwork.
Common fees questions
Do I need to pay upfront?
It depends on your funding type. Private, Medicare, and private health insurance clients pay at the time of their session — Medicare and health fund rebates are then claimed after payment. NDIS clients don’t pay upfront: for plan-managed participants we invoice your plan manager directly, and self-managed participants are invoiced after each session.
Is the free 15-minute consultation really free?
Yes — completely free, no obligation. It's a phone call with Casey to talk through your situation, understand your options, and decide whether Haven OT is the right fit. No pressure either way.
What happens if I need to cancel?
We understand life happens. Cancellations made with more than 48 hours' notice won't incur a fee. Late cancellations (under 48 hours) or no-shows may incur a cancellation fee. NDIS participants: cancellation fees align with the NDIS Short Notice Cancellation policy.
How does Medicare work with Haven OT?
We accept Medicare under the Better Access to Mental Health Care initiative and Chronic Disease Management (Team Care Arrangement) plans. You'll need a referral from your GP, who prepares the plan. You pay our session fee, then claim your Medicare rebate back via the Medicare app, myGov, or at a Medicare service centre. A gap payment applies between our fee and the rebate amount. Ask your GP how many sessions you're eligible for.
Can I use my private health insurance?
Yes — we accept private health insurance with extras cover for occupational therapy. Rebate amounts vary depending on your fund, policy level, and remaining annual limit. You pay our fee upfront, and we provide an itemised receipt so you can claim your rebate directly from your health fund. Check your policy details or call your fund to confirm your OT entitlements.
I'm agency-managed — can I still use Haven OT?
Unfortunately not with your NDIS funding, as agency-managed participants are required to use NDIS registered providers only. However, you're welcome to access our services privately. You can also explore switching to plan-management — call us and we can help explain how.
How do I get an invoice for my records?
Invoices are sent automatically via our Splose practice management system after each session. They include all the details you need — NDIS line items, service dates, and provider information. If you need a copy resent, just email us.
Are report writing fees separate?
Yes. Report writing is billed at the same hourly rate ($220/hr private, $193.99/hr NDIS) based on the time required to complete the report. We'll give you a time estimate before starting so there are no surprises. NDIS participants can typically use their Improved Daily Living budget for reports.
